Ashleigh bit with 70mm long bars and a 20mm large flat reclining cannon (on a 90° axis).

Composition: 100% Stainless Steel

Effect: the Ashleigh bit has a more direct action than the Pelham bit. It is a great compromise between the action of a double bridle and the one of a Pelham bit. The lever action is more direct because of the shifted lower bar. 

Whether you attach the reins on the top loop or on the lower loop, the action of this bit will be different. The lower the reins are positioned, the more increased the action is. You also have the possibility to adjust or change the curb chain. With the reclining cannon, the bit is constantly flat in the mouth and gives a large surface for the horses to take the bit while giving space for their tongue.

Tips: the Ashleigh bit can be simply put in direct use, with bit loops or with four reins.

Maintenance advice: rinse the bit after each use to prevent any residue deposit and to avoid your horse to feel any discomfort.
